Agnes G Yeackley Obituary (1919

In Memory Of Agnes G. Yeackley A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015 at East Fairview Mennonite Church, Milford, with Pastors Bill Saltzman and Kyle Roth officiating. Interment will be in the East Fairview cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-9pm on Wednesday at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home with family receiving relatives and friends from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials have been established and are directed in care of the family. Pallbearers are Denny Yeackley, Heath Yeackley, Colby Yeackley, Sam Troyer, Javin Troyer, Andrew Masten, Joe Havlat, James Ring and Cooper Yeackley. Agnes G. Yeackley was born July 24, 1919 on a farm four miles northwest of Milford, to Ben B and Katie E. (Bender) Rediger, the second of five children and passed away, Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Crestview Care Center in Milford at the age of 95 years 5 months and 12 days. As a young girl she attended Stauffer Country School. Agnes accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at East Fairview Mennonite Church and became a faithful life-long member. On February 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Melvin Yeackley and to this union two sons, Gary and Rodney, and a daughter, Carolyn were born. Together Agnes and Melvin made their home on the family farm where Agnes was a busy mother and helper to Melvin on the farm. For many years she volunteered at Et-Cetera Gift Shop in Seward. In her spare time, Agnes enjoyed quilting, gardening, singing and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the Milford Senior Center, participating in church sewing and other various activities at the church. Agnes is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Kremer, son, Rodney Yeackley, daughter-in-law, Carol Yeackley, all of Milford, grandchildren and spouses, LeAnn and Sam Troyer, Beaver Crossing, Lisa Kremer, Milford, Denny Yeackley, Milford, Sara Schweitzer, Sharla Yeackley, both of Lincoln, Heath and Kristina Yeackley, Milford, Colby and Shannon Yeackley, Pleasant Dale, great-grandchildren and spouses, Samantha and Joe Havlat, Milford, Savannah and Andrew Masten, Loomis, Javin Troyer and fiance, Elise Jensen, Lincoln, James Ring, Lincoln, Haley Yeackley, and Cooper Yeackley, both of Milford, three great-great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Lydia and Cam Masten, Loomis, sister, Lila Fortier, Pleasant Hill, CA, sisters-in-law, Ruth Rediger, Ashland, Nola Schmidt, Seward, Joyce Gamble, Milford, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin in 1984, son, Gary in 2012, one infant grandson, and two brothers, Merlin and Leland Rediger and one sister, Hazel Stutzman.
