Ardys D Wambold Obituary (1940

In Loving Memory OfArdys D. Wambold Ardys Diane Wambold of Beaver Crossing was born June 6, 1940 in Hillsboro, North Dakota, the oldest of four children, and died suddenly on Thursday, October 01, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 25 days. As a young girl she lived on a farm near Nielsville, MN and attended Shelly Public Schools. In 1958, she was united in marriage to Richard Dean Wambold and to this union four children, Robin, Robert, James and Angela were born. They made their home on farms near Beaver Crossing before moving into town in 1964. She was a busy homemaker, always enjoyed keeping everything in order and raising her family. Ardys was a good cook, and enjoyed cooking fish, especially the walleye's caught by the family on vacation in Minnesota. She was known to her family as "Grandma Ardy" and she loved attending activities of her grandchildren and telling them stories about the family when they would visit overnight. In her spare time, she enjoyed redecorating her home and cleaning for others. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and enjoyed shopping all year for special gifts for her family. Most recently she loved scrapbooking and made scrapbooks for her family. Ardys is survived by her children and spouses, Robin and Cheryl Wambold, Seward, Robert Wambold, Council Bluffs, IA, James and Suse' Wambold, Raymond, NE and Angela and David Rhoades, Sparta, WI, eight grandchildren, Patrick and Trevor Wambold, Seward, Matthew Wambold, Casper, WY, Ferron Wambold, Wayne, NE, Austin and Alex Wambold, Raymond, NE, Ashley and Shelley Rhoades, Sparta, WI, step-father, Vernon Tronnes, Nielsville, MN, sisters and brothers-in-law, Vicki and Mike Mjelde, Winona, MN, Valorie Tronnes, Grand Forks, ND, brother and sister-in-law, Galen and Debbie Tronnes, Crossplains, TN, special friend, Richard Anthony, Beaver Crossing, nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1977, and her mother, Irene Tronnes. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2009 at United Methodist Church, Beaver Crossing, with Rev. Betsy Galloway-Carew officiating. Interment in the Beaver Crossing Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 4 at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home in Beaver Crossing from 1pm-9pm and one hour prior to service at Friend.
