Cheryline R Zimmerman Obituary (1944

Obituary for Cheryline R. Zimmerman Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013, at Bellwood Mennonite Church in Milford, with Pastor Dave Miller officiating. Burial of her ashes will be at later date at Blue Mound Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will be Sunday, 4-8:00 p.m. at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford. Memorials may be directed in care of the family. Cheryline Ruth Zimmerman was born on January 26, 1944, at Seward, Nebraska to Leslie Lawrence Ludwig and Clara Irene (Kitchen) Ludwig, the youngest of five children, and passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Homestead Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 17 days. Cheryline attended Seward High School. Cheryline raised her boys and was a stay-home mother as well as a wonderful military wife. She had worked as a Sales Clerk in Lincoln at Brandies and did a lot of volunteer work for Toys for Tots, Malone Center, Lincoln Action Program, and the Food Net Program in Milford. Cheryline also worked in the food service industry in the Lincoln area. She also worked as a cook at the Veterans Administration Hospital. On July 23, 1983, in Lincoln, she was married to her true love, Jack Zimmerman. Cheryline enjoyed crocheting and other needlework, reading romance novels, cooking and canning. She exemplified the definition of "Mom" and was a very compassionate and loving person. She is survived by her husband, Jack, Lincoln; children and spouses, Russell and Lori Emken, Les Emken and Daniel Emken, all of Lincoln, Terri Farshidnow, Denver, CO, Kim and Michael Gundrum, San Diego, CA, Trevis and Lori Zimmerman, Gering, NE; Colette and Eric Stairhime, Hicksville, OH, 14 grandchildren, Kolton, Michael, Timothy, Gabriel, Hunter, Samantha, Paresa, Jason, Jamie, Tucker, Rylee, Joshua, Jacob and Aaron, 3 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Chailee and Jaydin, and a god grandson, Daniel of Geneva; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Connie Ludwig , Cairo, NE, sisters-in-law, Elaine Ludwig, Gloria Pesek, Vera Mae Bender, all of Lincoln, brothers-in-law, Raymond Zimmerman, Fort Worth, TX, Richard and Sandra Zimmerman, Austin, TX, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Clara Ludwig, sister, Gloria Russell, brothers, Wendell and Donald Ludwig, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Charlie Russell, James Zimmerman, Maynard and Alvin Pesek, and Hazel and James Kirkpatrick, and her parents-in-law, Bill and Myrtle Bender, Milo and Aretha Zimmerman.
