Doris M. Fox

Doris Mae Fox was born on September 4, 1924 at Friend, Nebraska to Corydon and Grace (Marcum) Hulse, the 2nd of three children and died on Tuesday, November 27, 2011 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Friend at the age of 87 year 2 months and 23 days. As a young girl she attended and graduated from Friend Public School with the class of 1941. She taught school for a year before moving to Omaha.

Doris worked at Mutual of Omaha for 23 years. She was also employed with Walgreens and Littmans in Oregon City, OR. Doris was united in marriage to Jimmy Fox and they made their home in Oregon. She recently returned to Friend to be closer to her family. Doris loved to travel and attend family reunions. She especially loved her cats.

She is survived by her nephews and spouse, Ray and Deb Hulse, Friend, Sigel Turner, Waverly, great nieces, Tara Langenberg, Tonya Peterson, great-nephew, John Turner, great-great nephew, Corydon Langenberg and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorothy Hohensee, brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Lue Hulse, and a niece, Mary Turner.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Utica Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Gill officiating. Cremation, no visitation, book available for signing at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Friday, 9am-5pm.
