Hope Gaster

Hope Elaine (Stutzman) Gaster was born May 11, 1961, and passed away on April 22, 2026 at Countryview Nursing Home in Wayne, NE. Hope was the daughter of Chester and Dorothy (Nichols) Stutzman. She attended Milford Public Schools and graduated in 1979. Hope was baptized as a young teen and a lifelong member of Milford Mennonite Church, Milford, NE. Hope married Roger Gaster in West Point, NE on June 6th, 2002, they made their home in West Point, NE.

Survivors include: husband Roger Gaster; brothers Brett (Becky) Stutzman, Paola, KS, Gary Gulley, Michael McCarthy, Dennis Gulley; sister Charlene Givens; nephew Martin Stutzman, Topeka, KS; niece Megan (Josh) Hemreck, Denver, CO; brother-in-law James Gaster, Indianola, NE; sister-in-law Leona Horn, Lakeside, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters – law Levi and Clara (Ohundt) Gaster, Clarence Gaster, and Doris Gronet.

Funeral Service: Saturday, May 2, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at the Milford Mennonite Church, Milford, Nebraska. There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Graveside Service: Saturday, May 2, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at the Milford Mennonite Cemetery.
