Janet Kenny

Janet Kenny, 88, of Milford, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford, Nebraska. She was born April 30, 1922, at Early, Iowa, the only child born to Thomas and Mary Kenny. The family moved to Lincoln when she was five years old. Janet attended a Lincoln High School and furthered her education by receiving her teaching certificate from the University of Nebraska. She taught grade school and later English at Lincoln High School. Janet in her later years lived at O.U.R. Homes in Lincoln and moved to the Sunrise Country Manor in July of 2007. Janet had no surviving relatives but was surrounded by her friends at Sunrise Country Manor and friend Deanna Portz, her guardian. Memorial services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford with Chaplain George Robey officiating. Burial is in Blue Mound Cemetery. Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, is entrusted with the care and arrangements.
