A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Zastrow Cemetery, Cordova, with Rev. Tamara Holtz officiating. No Visitation. Memorials are directed in care of the family.

JoAnn Johnsen was born April 27, 1932 at Clay Center, Nebraska to Clinton Orville and Nettie (Stewart) Lindberg, the youngest of four children and passed away on Saturday, July 16, at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 19 days. As a young girl she attended school in Edgar and graduated with the Class of 1949 from Edgar High School. She was married to Byron "Shorty" Clouse, and to this union two children, Scott and Teresa were born. JoAnn was later was united in marriage to Orville Shreve who adopted Scott and Teresa and together they had a son, Jody.

In later years, she was united in marriage to Darwin Johnsen and two step-sons, Gary and Larry Johnsen and a step daughter, Vergie joined her family.

While living in Lincoln, JoAnn cooked at the University of Nebraska, retiring after 12 years. She loved to cook especially when the family was around to enjoy the food she prepared. In her spare time, she enjoyed working with ceramics, spending time with her sister and playing keno. JoAnn also like watching TV, especially the movies.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jody "Joe" and Lisa Shreve, Lincoln, son-in-law, Doug Huffaken, Clay Center, step-sons, Gary Johnsen, Lincoln, Larry Johnsen, Sioux Falls, SD, step-daughter, Vergie Cyr, Martell, grandchildren, Rachel Soucie, Fairfield, Bridge Kenley, Hastings, Alicia Shreve, Ashley Shreve, both in Idaho, sister, Cherole Trainer, Rosebrook, CA, special care givers, niece, Jennifer Bondegard and granddaughter, Rachel Soucie, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darwin Johnsen, son, Scott Shreve, daughter, Teresa Huffaker, sisters, Gwendolyn Hoagland and Shirley Shuck. SERVICES Graveside Service Wednesday, July 20, 2016
