Larry E Ericson Obituary (1952

Larry Emmanuel Ericson was born September 23, 1952, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Clifford and Catherine (Jenkins) Ericson, and passed away Thursday, March 9, 2018 at Sunrise Country Manor near Milford at the age of 65.As a young boy, Larry attended Wahoo Public Schools. He later enlisted into the US Navy on November 1, 1979, where he served on the USS Destroyer Piedmont, and was a E-3 Torpedoman. He also was on the USS Joseph Hewes, a Frigate. Larry was discharged in 1984, in Charleston, South Carolina and later moved to Florida where he was a welder and laborer. In 1990, he and his family moved to Nebraska with his two sons. For 11 years, Larry remained sober and content-raising his family with his second wife. During this time, Larry was a dedicated to being a father and husband, and his family was very important to him.Survivors include his sons, Justin of Milford, Jason of Orlando, FL, two grandchildren, Skylar Dean, of Lincoln, Adrian Merrill of Omaha, a brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Jan Ericson, Lincoln, nieces and nephews, Cindy and Bobby Ericson, and Christian and Catherine Gekas, all of Lincoln.Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Caryn Gekas.
