In Memory OfLeona M. FergusonLeona Marie Ferguson, 83, of Monroe, died at Columbus Community Hospital Friday, September 26, 2003, at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 20 days. She was born on May 6, 1920 on a farm near Cordova to Philip and Emma (Johnsen) Hansen, the third of five children. As a young girl, she attended country school district #101 in York County and later was united in marriage to Arthur Ferguson on April 10, 1948 in Exeter.Together they made their home in several communities in Nebraska, including York, Benedict, Shelby, Giltner, Hampton, Elmwood, Lebanon and Monroe. Leona was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Friend. She was a busy homemaker and loved her children and spending time with her sisters.
