In Memory OfRandy Gayle DouthitRandy Gayle Douthit was born in Modesto, California on March 4, 1952 to Dors LeRoy and Patricia (Duncan) Douthit and died due to complications from an auto accident on October 15, 2008 at BryanLGH West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 11 days. As a young boy growing up, Danny had an affinity of showing great care and love to everyone he met. Even though Randy had to live his entire life with limitations due to his disabilities, he learned to adapt and became an expert car model maker and collector of many significant objects. Randy was especially interested in vintage movies and enjoyed collecting them. He was a gentle person and loved his nieces and nephews. Randy enjoyed singing along with the lady who provided entertainment at Linden Village. He recently began to sing solos and has always enjoyed all kinds of music. He is survived by his brothers and spouse, Danny Lawrence and Ruth Douthit, Red Oak, TX, Perry Max Douthit, and Gary LeRoy Douthit, both of Lincoln, several nieces and nephews, Dan Douthit, Waxachie, TX, Gary Douthit, Seward, William Douthit, Altua, OK, Kevin Douthit, Midland, TX, Tammy Shook, Lincoln, Tracy Cordova, Missouri, Jennifer Voehl, Seward, Michelle Popham, Monahan, TX, Tonya Douthit, Monahan, TX, and Jennifer Garner, Red Oak, TX.He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Dennis Oneal Douthit, and nephews Todd A Douthit.A Memorial Service was held at Linden Village on Friday, October 17, 2008 with Pastor Stevens officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Billings, Montana. Jennifer Voehl, niece, and Ashley Douthit, great niece, read poems at the service. Memorials are directed to Linden Village in Randy's memory. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lauber-Moore Funeral Homes, Milford.
