Raymond William "Bill" Ross, Jr. was born April 29, 1949 in Friend to Raymond and Elsie (Danek) Ross, the oldest of two children and passed away suddenly Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home at the age of 67 years 8 months and 29 days. As a young boy he attended Friend Public School and graduated with the class of 1967. He furthered his education at Hastings College where he received Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Education. He was employed at the lumber yard in Beaver Crossing and later Yost Lumber in Milford for a number of years before starting his own business "Ross Repair" in Friend. Bill was an avid hunter especially enjoying the duck and geese season of hunting. He was often seen around town with his constant companion, Jake. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Houser of Fremont, many cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Frank Houser. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Andrew Cemetery for the inurnment of Bill's ashes. Relatives and Friends are welcome to join Barb at the cemetery for this service.
