Rodney J. Wymore Obituary (1940

In Loving Memory OfRodney J. WymoreRodney James "Rod" Wymore was born on February 20, 1940 in Lincoln to Cinne (Egger) and James Wymore, the youngest of three children, and died suddenly in Three Rivers, Michigan on July 13, 2008 at the age of 68 years 4 months and 23 days. As a young boy he attended Lincoln Public Schools including Northeast High School. Rod met Edith "Elaine" McDowell through mutual friends and they were later united in marriage on September 15, 1962 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Lincoln. To this union two children, Randy and Kim, were born. Rod and Elaine made their home in Lincoln until 1986 when they moved to Milford. Rod developed many strong friendships and relationships with customers as he worked in the Lincoln area and across the state. After their move to Milford he was employed at the Milford CoOp for several years. Rod then became a driver for Car-Quest Auto Parts in Lincoln delivering in the Lincoln area until he retired in May 2007. He loved to fish and work in the yard and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. He was an avid reader of Historical non-fiction. He was a best friend and loving husband, a proud father, hard worker, and good neighbor.Rod is survived by his wife, Elaine, Milford, son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Marion, Minneapolis, MN, daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Michael Walcoff, Fairfax, VA, cousin, Warren D. Wymore, Lincoln, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Eugene and Russell. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford with Larry P. Van Hunnik officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, July 18, from 9am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are directed to Rod's Memorial Fund for further designation by his family.
