In lieu of flowers, donations established to: HoriSun Hospice, Lincoln Food Bank Backpack Program or to the Milford Public Schools Foundation. Thelma (Tresidder Hunter) Havekost 88, of Milford, died Thursday, October 25, 2012, in Milford, NE . Born April 21, 1924, in Centralia, Kansas, to Frederick and Lillian (Riedesel) Tresidder. She married Martin Hunter August 15, 1948 and they raised their daughters in NJ. After Martin's death, the family moved to Milford, NE. She married Robert Havekost of Coleridge, NE in 1983. She attended Doane College and earned her music education degree from Trenton State College. In her adult life, she worked at an air base during WWII, taught music, was a homemaker, a nursing home administrator, was active in her churches and especially enjoyed singing in and directing church choirs. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Dee (Randy) Erb, Milford, Rae (Patrick) Hunter-Pirtle, Lincoln, and Kay (David) Hunter-Chester, Lansing, KS; grandchildren, Denee (Paul) Janda, Boulder, CO, Matthew (Morgan Beach) Erb, Lincoln, Ann Hunter-Pirtle, Washington, DC, Joel Hunter-Pirtle, Lincoln, James (Erika) Chester, South Korea, and Emily (Logan) Biely, Fairfax, VA; 4 nieces. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, siblings, and their spouses.
